Phyllis Mcginnis

Phyllis Joan Zimmerle McGinnis, 73, of Marianna, Florida died Friday, August 11, 2023 at her residence.  She was born August 25, 1949 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Thomas and Marguerite Zimmerle. Phyllis worked many years at the Florida State Hospital as a Word Processing Systems Operator.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Peter and Marguerite Zimmerle, her brother, Joseph T. Zimmerle, and her sister-in-law, Janice McDaniel Zimmerle.

Phyllis is survived by her brother, Pete Zimmerle of Marianna; nieces, Cathi Zimmerle, her fiancé, Ray Pettis of Lynn Haven, and Leesa Beasley;  great niece, Jordan Beasley of Marianna; great nephew, Cody Beasley of Marianna; great-great niece, Kareena Beasley of Marianna; lifetime friends, Ralph and Nettie Stevens of Manilla, Indiana; along with many close friends and coworkers at Florida State Hospital.

Services will be Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 6:00 PM at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with David Baldwin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at James & Sikes Funeral Home.
