At Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, we want to honor and respect all of the families that have chosen us as the final resting place for their loved ones. We also want to ensure that our cemetery is a place where any family member or friend can come to cherish the life of a loved one. After all, a cemetery is truly a sacred place.
With that in mind, here are some guidelines for ensuring that everyone who visits has the experience they desire.
1. The planned landscaping of the park is maintained without additional cost to you by the Perpetual Care Fund. No planting or soil disturbance of any nature by lot owners is permitted.
2. Flowers, live or artificial, in memorial bronze / granite vases may be placed on graves at any time. These will be removed when they become unsightly. Potted plants are permitted only on appropriate holidays and will be removed seven (7) days after the holiday, except for poinsettias and Christmas decorations. These will be removed by March 1st of every year. No baskets or stands are allowed, except at the time of interment.
3. Only bronze on granite grass level memorials are allowed in Pinecrest, except in the Garden of Love. All grass level memorials will appear slightly sunken in, but this is how we must place them for maintenance, beauty, and safety. Concrete items such as benches, memorials, vases, ledger slabs or any other concrete items are not allowed in any of the Gardens at Pinecrest.
4. Any type of bottle, stick, stone, jar, wind chimes, solar lights or similar items will be removed immediately. The cemetery will remove all types of fences, any items hung from trees or items deemed offensive.
5. Boxing of / or mounding of the gravesite is prohibited.
6. Please do not park or drive on the grass.
7. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on cemetery grounds.
8. Any public gatherings, religious, etc, must be approved with the cemetery office seven (7) days prior to any gathering.
9. No pets, except for Seeing Eye dogs, are allowed.
10. The cemetery requires for all interments an outer burial container made of concrete or precious metals or other containers approved by Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
11. The cemetery requires an urn vault constructed of non-degenerative materials for the interment of all cremains.
12. The cemetery office must be notified at least thirty six (36) hours in advance of an impending interment in order to prepare the grave which is the exclusive right of the cemetery.
13. In the case of an impending interment, the next of kin of the deceased must sign an approved interment order, verify the lot location, and sign a contract for the opening and closing procedure in the presence of a qualified staff member within twenty four (24) hours of the designated funeral service time.
14. Granite memorial benches, with bronze attached, will be allowed to be placed in a few selected areas. Bench lots have been previously selected in designated areas and may be purchased through the cemetery.
15. Management will take all reasonable precautions to protect lot owners, and the property rights of lot owners, within the cemetery from loss or damage; but the cemetery distinctly disclaims all responsibility for loss or damage from causes beyond its reasonable control, and especially from the damage caused by the elements, an act of God, common enemies, thieves, vandals, strikers, malicious insurrections, riots, or orders of military or civil authority, whether the damage be direct or collateral, other than as provided herein.
16. Cemetery requires only licensed and insured marker companies to work within cemetery grounds and must notify the cemetery office seventy two (72) hours prior installation or work performed and adhere to the guidelines of the cemetery.
17. All temporary memorials are to remain at the burial sight for no longer than 6 months after the interment and / or until the purchase of a memorial. Pinecrest Memorial Gardens is not responsible for any missing or damaged temporary memorials.
18.Memorials markers once set in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens become the property and responsibility of the lot owner. Pinecrest Memorial Gardens assumes no liability due to acts of God, theft or vandalism.
19. All mausoleum entombments, the remains must be embalmed and in a sealed casket.
