Linda Ovida Jackson Brown

Linda Ovida Jackson Brown, 75, of Kynesville, Florida went home to her LORD on March 19, 2023 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Florida.

Linda was born January 31, 1948 in Kynesville, to Homer and Hannah Mae Jackson. She was a loving wife, mother and granny. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served the LORD and played the piano since the age of fourteen. She was employed at Hope School as a paraprofessional for many years.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Hannah Mae Jackson, and her sister Christine Register.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Vincent Gerald Brown; son, Dewayne Brown and wife, Sheila of Cottondale; daughter, Dana Kent and husband, Brad of Cottondale; son, Dale Brown and wife, Shanda of Graceville; grandchildren, Andy Brown and wife, Joanna, Lyn Moseley and husband, Jeff, Garrett Kent, Elizabeth Kent, Luke Kent, Joanna Kent, Priscilla Kent, Jonas Kent, Alex Pilgrim, Zech Brown, Blake Brown, Addy Bruner, Jabe Bruner, and Brennan Brown; great-grandchildren, Emily Kate Brown, Cheyenne, Shelby Moseley, Augustus “Gus” Moseley, Kaylee Seal and Brantley Seal; sister, Earnestine Floyd of Panama City, Florida; brother, Eugene Jackson and wife, Kathy of Dothan, Alabama; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and her little dog “Booger Brown.”

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Kynesville, Florida with pastor James Gray Braxton officiating. There will be a time of visitation, one hour prior to the services with interment to follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
