James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Wilma Peacock Griffin, 82, ended her battle with Alzheimer's, Monday, June 30, 2014, at her home in Pensacola, FL. Mrs. Griffin was born in Houston County, AL, but was reared in Marianna, FL and was a graduate of Marianna High School. She was a member of East Brent Baptist Church, Pensacola, FL where during her years as a homemaker and stay-at-home-mom, she was a Sunday School Teacher of four year-olds. With child-rearing completed, she worked in retail sales for ten years. She enjoyed flower gardening, crafting and decorating. She was preceded in death by her parents, S. J. Peacock, Jr. and Willie Mae Hall Peacock; brothers, Aubrey and William. S. (Buddy). She is survived by her husband of 57 years, H. Paul Griffin, daughter, Paula Griffin and son-in-law, Frank Ludovina of Anderson, SC; sisters, JoAnn Gause (John) of Dothan, AL and Mary Ruth McDonald (Mac) of Lynn Haven, FL; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Monday, July 7, 2014 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel of Marianna, FL with Rev. Roland Rabon officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Marianna, FL with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm, Sunday, July 6, 2014 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
