She was a native and lifelong resident of Chipley retired from Washington County School Board as secretary of Chipley High School. Mrs. May was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Chipley. Survivors include her husband, Doug May, Jr. ; her son, Doug May lll, and wife, Tina of Greenwood; grandson, Alex May and wife, Sami of Chipley; granddaughter, Katie May of Greenwood; one sister, Maggie Kittrell of Chipley. Memorial services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at First United Methodist Church in Chipley with Rev. John Dickinson officiating. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery at a later date with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at her son's residence, 5218 Chesnut Lane, Greenwood.
