Willie M. Rudd, Sr.

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Willie Mitchell Rudd Sr., 59, of Alford, died Friday, August 2, 2013 surrounded by loved ones. Billy departed this world in a peaceful manner. He was born in Gadsden county on September 17, 1953. Billy lived his entire life in Jackson County. He attended school in both Sneads and Grand Ridge, and completed his high school education while employed at Sunland Training Center in Greenwood. He worked at Sunland for a number of years, and also worked for the Pilot truck stop in Marianna for many years. Billy is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth A. Rudd, and brother, James T. Rudd. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Eunice; son, Wille M. Rudd Jr. and wife, Lorene, of Montaray CA; father, Noel W. Rudd Sr. of Greenwood; brother, Noel W. Rudd Jr. and wife, Stephanie, of Jasper, TX; sisters, Ruth A. Jurgonnski and husband, Bob, of Youngstown FL, Patricia A. Rudd of Greenwood. Funeral services will be at 10 A.M. Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Sister Merlene Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-7 P.M. Monday, August 5, 2013 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to Covenant Hospice at 4215 Kelson Ave. Suite E, Marianna FL, 32446.
