James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Willie Earl Gay, 79, of Dellwood died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Jackson Hospital. He was a native and life long resident of Jackson County. He served in the U. S. Army for almost four years, and later retired from Sunland after 32 years of service where he enjoyed managing the horse farm. He is preceded in death by his parents Jeannie and Willie Robert Gay. Mr. Gay is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Wilson Gay of Dellwood; four daughters, Lucille Stewart and husband, Marline, Lise Folsom and husband, Tim, all of Marianna, Marie Eady and husband, Gary, Jennie Tillman and husband, Joe all of Altha; three brothers, William Lee Gay, George Edway Gay both of Alford, R.L. Gay of Panama City; two sisters, Lois Harris of Alford, Louise Kent of Panama City; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, Four step children Debbie Hamilton, Janet Grant, Robert Alford and Laurie Larrabee; four step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 2 p.m. at James and Sikes Maddox Chapel with Revs. Jack Howell and Don Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends Monday, October 22, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at James and Sikes Maddox Chapel.
