William Ernest Smith

William Ernest Smith, 66, of Marianna died Sunday, March 11, 2006 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna. A native of Ft. Myers, Mr. Smith was a retired Delta Airlines employee, a member of Masonic Lodge 709 in Riverdale, Georgia, was presently employed at The Arthur G. Dozier School and a member of Providence Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father, William Ray Smith and a brother, Mark Lee Smith. He is survived by his wife, Carol Smith of Marianna; Two sons, Steve Ernest Smith, Kevin Ray Smith and wife Narda all of Georgia; one grandson, Mason Alexander Smith of Georgia; his mother, Barbara Smith of Ft. Myers and one sister, Phillis Ann Gutknecht of Bonita Springs. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am, Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Maddox Chapel with Revs. Willie Butler and Dallas Ellis. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Maddox Chapel.
