He was a native of Chipley, and has lived most of his life in Jackson County, where he retired this year from the City of Marianna with almost 38 years of service. Mr. Lipford enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and working with wood. He was a wonderful husband, father and pawpaw. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Elmira Lipford; two daughters, Donna Jo Loyed and husband, Arnold of Altha, Dottie Everett and husband, Cameron of Marianna; brother, Jimmie Lipford and wife Irene of Chipley; sisters, Love Lipford, Lucy Piltcher both of Marianna; four grandchildren, Kimberly Everett, Jennifer White and husband, Matt, Jessica Hill and husband, Jeremy, Justin Loyed and wife, Jennie; two great-grandchildren, Mason Hill and Tyler White. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 28 at New Salem Baptist Church near Marianna. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
