William Ray Fowler

William Ray Fowler, 89, of Alford died Friday, July 23, 2010 surrounded by family in Holy Cross Sanctuary in Burtonsville, MD. Born in Sumner, GA, Mr. Flower was retried from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and also retired from the U.S. Government as a National Security Agency employee. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and a former member of Compass Lake in the Hills Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his wives, Margaret T. Fowler and Barbara R. Fowler; his son, Michael J. Fowler and one grandson. Survivors include three sons, Thomas W. Fowler of Denver, CO, John E. Fowler of Jessup, MD and Charles R. Fowler of Alford; four daughters, Catherine M. Matus of Riverside, CA, Teresa L. Fowler of Baltimore, MD, Elizabeth F. Weant of Laurel MD, and Margaret R. Winkeler of Fenton, Mo, thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral mass will be held at 2:30pm on July 31, 2010 at St. Anne's Catholic Church with Father Chuck Collins Officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00- to 9:00pm Friday, July 30, 2010 at Maddox Chapel. Rosary will be recited 8:00pm at Maddox Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make contributions to the St. Anne's Catholic Church in Marianna Fl. "
