William was born in Tifton, GA, had lived in Jackson County most of his life, and was retired as a bus driver for Greyhound Transportation. He is survived by one son, Gary Cosper of Alford; three daughters, Marian Rutherford of DeFuniak Springs, Wanda Bryan of Corpus Christi, TX, and Judy Garrels of Des Moines, IA; sister Laverne Beard of Lakeland; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 14, 2010 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel with Rev. Gino Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Baptist Cemetery with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
