William "Bill" Conrad

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel William Benjamin "Ben" Conrad, 88, of Bascom passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Conrad was born in Jackson County on June 9, 1922, he was a U S Air Force Veteran. He worked at Graham Air Base prior to becoming a farmer and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Benjamin Eddie and Lelia Roberta Robinson Conrad and a brother James Conrad. Survivors include his wife, Eddie Conrad and a son, William Benjamin "Bill" Conrad and wife, Donna all of Bascom; two daughters, Brenda Brookins and husband, David of Lake Seminole, GA., Debbie Callaway and husband, Ronny of Bascom; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10 am Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Fullington and Rev. Jack Howell officiating. Private Interment will be in the Conrad Family Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Mt.
