James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel William Morgan Booth Jr. went home to his Lord on February 28, at his residence surrounded by his family and friends. Willie was a deacon at Marvin Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and a longtime citizen of Jackson County. He retired from the U.S. Air Force where he served his country with devotion and honor. He worked closely with the veterans of Jackson County for many years. He was a longtime member of the D.A.V. Willie loved his family, and his friends knew him for his loving nature and honest words. He was the son of the late William Booth Sr. and the late Dora Booth of Marianna. He is also preceded in death by his brother Jim Booth and wife Jessie Merle. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Jane Booth, one son, William (Rusty) Booth and wife Delight, daughter Cathy Carter and husband Tommy; sister Kitty Finch and husband Bob; 5 grandchildren, William Booth, Lana Booth, Katherine Booth, Eric Booth, and Jamie Dyer, 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Marvin Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Marianna with Rev. Ryan Clemmons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of funeral, at the church. Family will request the flowers be omitted, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Marvin Chapel Building Fund.
