James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel William Henry "Bill" Baxter, 76, of Dothan died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at his home. Mr. Baxter was a native and longtime resident of Malone prior to moving to Dothan 22 years ago. He was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sebron Green and Iona Grice Baxter. He is survived by his devoted companion for 22 years Ella Skinner; two daughters, Barbara Railey and husband, Sam of Ozark, Al., Merita Phillips of Donalsonville, Ga; four stepchildren, Christy Parrish and husband, Dewayne of Ashford, Al., Tanya Skinner and husband, John of Montgomery, Al., Libby Skinner and husband, Bill of Panama City, Fl., Cory Skinner of Montgomery, Al.; three brothers, John Baxter and wife, Louise of Campbelton, Fl., Sebron Baxter of Cottondale, Fl., Alex Baxter and wife, Rannie of Woodsville, Al.; four sisters, Stella Burke of Teahochpi, Ca., Pearlie Noble of Marianna, Fl., Eldridge Sims and husband, Jimmy of Marianna, FL., Becky Stephens and husband, Lamar of Alford, Fl.; ten grandchildren Joni Phillips, Crystal Phillips, Brandi Spurling, Kimberely Shoub, Lucas Phillips, Brittany Parrish, Alyssa Parrish, Brandon Skinner and Courtney Parrish; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Rev. DeWayne Sims and Rev. Gary Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Collins Chapel Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Pallbearers are Mike Hall, Allen Noble, Dennis Noble, Sam Railey, Lamar Stephens and Michael Stephens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday, December 17, 2012 at Maddox Chapel.
