James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel 4278 Lafayette Street Marianna, Florida 32446 Wiley George Pittman, 79, of Marianna died Monday, April 19, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Pittman was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County where he served with Marianna Police Department for over 34 years, retiring in 1987 serving as Police Chief for the city his last 24 years. He served in the National Guard for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Lions Club for 25 years having served as president. Member of the Masonic Lodge since 1988, Elks club member since 1962, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Marianna. Survivors include his wife, Gloria; children, Linda (Matt) Bullard of Panama City, Donna (Ronny) Jurgonski of Round Lake; grandchildren, Adam (Carrie) Skipper, their children, Indigo & Harper all of Billings, MT., Eric Skipper and his child, Cheyenne of Westville; Tim (Ashley) Barber of Phenix City, AL., T.J. (Kumi) Jurgonski, their children, Gabe & Layla all of Japan; Tara Jurgonski of Gainesville; Tessa Jurgonski of Round Lake; a special niece, LaJean (Robert) Salonites and their children, Nichols, Conrad & John David all of California; several other family members and close friends. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010, at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel with Rev. Carlton Baggett & Gary Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with full military honors with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
