Mr. Durden was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard B. Durden; a brother, Carlton Durden. He is survived by his mother, Nellie B. Durden; brother Royce W. Durden and family; sisters, Linda Durden and family, Jeannette D. Cook and family, Wanda S. Durden and family all of Grand Ridge, Joyce D. Snellgrove and family of Marianna; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29. 2009 at Shady Grove Pentecostal Church with Rev. Gary Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
