Warren Odell Dempsey, Jr.

Warren Odell Dempsey, Jr., 78, of Marianna died Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Jackson Hospital. A native of Falls Church, Va. where he resided most of his life, Mr. Dempsey had resided in Marianna for the past several years, he was a retired manager from IGA food stores and served in the U. S. Army, U. S. Air Force and the National Guard, he was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Marianna. Survivors include three daughters, Kathie Bailey and husband James of Marianna, Maureen Dempsey of Lakeland, Donna Joan Hoke King and husband Barry of Lorton, Va.; four sons, Charles Hoke and wife Donna Marie of Lurey, Va, Daniel Hoke and wife Eloise of Alexandria, Va, Brian Hoke and wife Debbie of Dale City, Va and Steven Hoke of Stafford, Va,; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Maddox Chapel with Rev. Barbara Singletary officiating, interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, July 11, 2008 at Maddox Chapel."
