James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel 4278 Lafayette Street Marianna, FL 32446 850.482.2332 Wanda Melanie Jakelsky, born February 29, 1964 in Hartford, Alabama, a resident of Marianna, Florida, left this earthly life on February 12, 2008 from Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Oscar and Lois Bradley of Bonifay, Jimmy and Vera Mae Dykes of Slocomb, Al. Wanda is survived by Mark E. Jakelsky, her loving husband, of over 25 years, along with their beloved daughter, Victoria G. Jakelsky, both of Marianna; her mother and step-father, Valeria B. and O.J. Oliver of Bonifay, Florida; her father, Charlie D. Dykes and wife, Amy F. Dykes, all of Bonifay. Wanda is also survived by four sisters and 2 brothers: Angela V. Knight and husband, Jeff W Knight; Aimee L. Douglas and husband, Reverend Julian R. Douglas of Sneads; Jeffery C. Dykes and wife, Elizabeth V. Dykes; Christie O. Street and husband, Matt Street; Charlie D. Dykes, II and Jodi C. Dykes, along with several precious nieces and nephews and a host of loving friends and family members. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, 2008 at Carmel Assembly of God Church near Bonifay with Rev. Tommy Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carmel Assembly of God Church, 1484 Carmel Church Road, Bonifay, Fl.
