Wallace Davis

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Wallace Davis, Jr., 80, of Marianna died Sunday, November 18, 2012 in Marianna. He was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, retired business owner. Wallace was a graduate of Auburn University where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He worked in the newspaper business with The Floridan and was editor of The Monitor, a weekly newspaper in Jackson County for a number of years, Wallace was an owner operator of a Marianna print shop for several years. He was of The Episcopal Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Davis, Sr., and Coral Burton Davis, of Marianna. He is survived by his sister, Nonnie Teague of Dothan, AL., an aunt, Martha Walker of Tallahassee. Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at St. Luke's Episcopal Cemetery with Father Norman Bray officiating, James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 12:30 p.m., until 1:30 p.m., at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
