Vivian Taylor, 76, of Alford died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at her home in Alford. A native of Altha, Mrs. Free had resided in Jackson County for the past 40 years where she was employed at the Jackson County School System and was a member of Pilgrim Rest Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Morea Taylor, son, Clay Duke, four brothers, Barney Lee, Leonard L., Arthur and Aubrey Free; two sisters, Margie Hughes and Odie Goodson Lainer. Survivors include one son, Paul Daniels and wife Doris of Tallahassee; one daughter, Debra Duke of Alford; one brother, William Burl Free and wife Joyce of Plant City; two granddaughters, Sarah Phipps of Alford and Jessica Pohlman of Colo.; one great grandchild, Silas Sanders. Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday, December 30, 2011 at Maddox Chapel with Rev. James Vickery and Rev. Joe Gayhart officiating. Interment will follow at New Shiloh Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Maddox Chapel.
