She was a native of Cottondale where she has lived most of her life as a homemaker. Mrs. Williams was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cottondale for more than 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, several brothers and sisters, a son, and her husband Alto Williams. Survivors include one daughter, Liz Stuart and husband, David of Cottondale; two grandchildren, Davana Cline and husband, James; Sarah Caraway and husband, Shawn; seven great grandchildren, Rebekah, Annalyn, Benjamin, Olivia, Laura, Abby host of nieces and nephews, special niece, Lydia Davin; one brother L.C. Glass of California; four sisters, Emma Christmas and husband, Coy of Texas; Vera Turner and Vada Burroughs both of Cottondale, Ella Thrash and husband, Howard of Pensacola; Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2009 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel with Revs. Shawn Caraway, Stafford Turner & Caron Harn officiating. Burial will follow in Cottondale First Baptist Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
