Virginia S. Theunissen

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Virginia Shelton Theunissen, 95, a native of Leland, MS died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, FL. Virginia moved to Marianna in 1953 where she worked as a Social Worker for the State of Florida until she retired in 1981. She is a graduate of Millsaps College in Jackson, MS, was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, the First United Methodist Church in Marianna and various other clubs. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jan S. Theunissen, her parents Shepherd L. Shelton and Bess Davenport Shelton, her brother Shepherd L. Shelton, Jr., sister Helen Shelton Byrd. She is survived by her nephews Robert L. Shelton and Pat M. Shelton and niece Sally Byrd Farrell, along with other nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Marianna. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel will direct. No visitation is planned.
