Virgie Inez Bland

Virgie Inez Bland, 87, of Marianna died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Morgan County, AL, Mrs. Bland had resided in Jackson Count for the past 50 years. She was a retired employee of Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center and a member of Welcome Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Chester Bland and a son Paul Lambert. Survivors include four sons, Tom Lambert of Greenwood, Larry Lambert of Cape Coral, FL, Ricky Lambert and wife Jan of Michigan, T.J. Lambert and wife Carol of Tallahassee; three daughters, Dorothy Johnson and husband Eric of Michigan, Peggy Dennis and husband John, Linda Hutto all of Greenwood; one sister, Gertrude Taylor of Washington state; 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 am Monday, July 18, 2011 at Welcome Assembly of God Church with Rev. Charles Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Maddox Chapel.
