Dewey, 81, of Grand Ridge died Monday, April 20, 2009 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, a homemaker and a charter member of Chattahoochee FIrst Assembly of God Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Levy James Stephens and Nella G. Stephens; two brothers, Ebert Stephens and Floyd Stephens; one sisters, Elsie Hooten. Survivors include three daughters, Pat Powell Richards of Dellwood, Sheila Dickson and Marcia Barfoot both of Grand Ridge; one son, Roscoe Roy Dewey of Jerseyville, IL..; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Ralmon Stephens of Grand Ridge, Matthew Stephens of Chattahoochee, Donald Stephens of Blountstown. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. CDT, Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at El Bethel Assembly of God Church with Revs. Jeffery DuBose, Charles Stephens and William Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Dykes Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
