Velzie M. Hughes

Velzie M. Hughes, 70, of Marianna died Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Jackson Hospital. Mrs. Hughes was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cesro and Etta Yon. Survivors include her husband, Alex Hughes of Marianna; 2 sons, Joe Toole and Joel Timothy Toole and his wife Donna all of Marianna; 3 daughters, Linda Alford, Shirley Creamer and husband Calvin, Theresa Creamer and husband Danny, all of Marianna; 1 sister, Gladys Casey of Marianna; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announce by James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
