Vana Jerome "Mac" Mcilwain

Vana Jerome "Mac" McIlwain, 51, of Greenwood died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at his home. A native of New London, Ct., Mr. McIlwain had resided in Jackson County for a number of years, He was a US. Army veteran and until June was employed at the Family Dollar Distribution Center, Mac was known for his love of animals. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vadon Jasper and Catherine Feeny McIlwain. Survivors include his wife, Nancy McIlwain of Greenwood; three sons, Jeffry Childs and wife Tonya of Brunswick, Md, Anthony Drzewiecki and wife Kelly of Paoli, In. and Kenneth Drzewiecki of Hagerstown, Md; one daughter, Sandra Shannon and husband Devin of Shepardtown, WV; two brothers, Vadon McIlwain and wife Andrea of Ca; Vern McIlwain and wife Carolyn of Ok; six sisters, Alice Coleman, Jacqueline Skidgell and husband Alan, Vodona Cunningham, Veronica Stankiewicz and husband Thomas all of Ct, Vikie-Jo Lucky of Fl and Vanda Wilson of Ct.; nine great grandchildren. Service of Remberance will be held at 10m, Saturday, February 23, 2008 at St. Anne's Catholic church with Fr. Sean Knotts officicating. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Memorilazation will be by cremation.
