Valerie J. Cox, 66, of Marianna died Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Marianna Health and Rehab.
Valerie grew up in Indianapolis and lived in Marianna for the past 20 years. She enjoyed spending time doing crafts and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Ross and Mary Elizabeth Slunaker and her step-mother, M. Bernice Slunaker.
Valerie is survived by her husband, Billy Cox of Marianna; one son, Philip Cox of Marianna; three daughters, Jennifer Cox Nolan and husband, Tony of Lake City, Courtney Beck and husband, Alex of Bristol, Heather Taylor of Evergreen, AL; one brother, Vernon James Slunaker of Slidell, LA; one sister, Mona Hancock of Greenwood, Ind. and five grandchildren
Private graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel will direct.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
