Samuel Addison Powell Jr., known to his friends and family as Tony, 74 passed away Saturday November 26, 2016 at Malcolm Randall V.A. Hospital.
Samuel was born May 2, 1942 in High Springs, Florida to Samuel Powell Sr. and Reola Chaney. Samuel was raised by Claiborne and Maxine Sapp in Marianna, Florida where he enjoyed growing up with all his friends. He married Antoinette (Toni) Mira in 1963, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and later worked as a sales engineer in the electrical motor industry.
Samuel went home to be with his beloved wife Toni, his gentle grandson Joey and his parents. He is survived by his half-brother Edwin Powell and half-sister Sheila Powell, his first son Clay Powell and wife Teresa Powell and his second born son Christopher Powell and wife Angel Powell. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Rena Hodge, Candis Archer, Benjamin and David Powell.
Memorialization will be by cremation with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel in charge of arrangements. Tony wanted to be remembered as he was, "My old loveable handsome self".
