Tommie Edward Boone

Tommie Edward Boone, 74, of Marianna died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Jackson Hospital. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Boone was a U. S. Army veteran, retired from Marianna Heading Co. and attended Lighthouse Community Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ruth Chafin Boone, his parents Tommie Jefferson and Esther Griffin Boone. Survivors include one son, Tommie Richard Boone of Marianna; one daughter, Myra Rhodes and husband Mike of Rock Hill, S.C.; two sisters, Bessie Creekmore and husband Bob of Jacksonville; Sarah Clifton and husband Wayne of Basset, VA.; six grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10 am, Monday, December 8, 2008 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Revs. Ronnie Wright and Frances Dudley officiating, burial will follow at Lipford Cemetery with Military Honors given by the Sneads American Legion Post 241. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Maddox chapel.
