Timothy Doyle Hewett

Timothy Doyle Hewett, 62, of Greenwood, Florida passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his residence. He was born March 10, 1962, in Marianna, Florida to Rodgers and Juanita Hewett. He was married to the love of his life, Alice, for 35 years and together they raised five children. Tim was always cheering on and supporting his children in every endeavor. He was a plumber by trade, and hobby mechanic. There were few things he couldn’t fix. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially when he was fishing. Music was always a passion of his and he loved spending time playing his bass guitar. Baseball was his favorite pastime, and he was an avid supporter of the Atlanta Braves. Tim was a devoted husband, loving father, faithful friend, and cherished pawpaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice Mae Hewett; brothers, James Hewett, William R. Hewett; his very best friend, Randy Young.

He is survived by his children, Scotty Hewett, Shanna Yeatman (George), Michelle Charles (Clayton), Jennifer Hewett, Ryan Hewett (Kendra); grandchildren, Raylee Hewett, Kaydence Hewett, Destiny Cook, Shyann Yeatman, Alicen Yeatman, Alexandria “Lexi” Charles, Walker Welch, Korbyn Hewett; and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly. 

Funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday, October 10, 2024, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Pastor Randy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Bascom United Methodist Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 9 AM until the time of service at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
