Thomas Edward Jackson, 71, of Grand Ridge died Saturday, September 27, 2008 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County. Mr. Jackson was a motor grader operator working in Construction most of his life. He was a member of the Red Level Masonic Lodge in Altha where he held a 32nd degree of masonary. Preceded in death by his wife, McClelland Gladys Jackson; son, Arnold Lee Childers, daughter, Pandora Alan; his parents, Audrey and Mary E. Jackson; two sisters, Dorothy Helen Edenfield and Yvonne Forbes. He is survived by three sons, Thomas Eugene "Tommy" Jackson and wife Charlotte, Robert Andrew "Andy" Jackson all of Grand Ridge, Lonnie Calvin Childers and wife, Francine, of Scranton, PA.; two daughters, Victoria Jean Brown and husband, Johnny, of Wildwood, Theresa O'Berry and husband, Lawrence, of Cleveland, AL.; one brother, Ryals Eugene Jackson; one sister, Earlene Brothers both of Grand Ridge; 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Maddox Chapel with Revs. Willie Manning & Jack Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Carpenter Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
