Dan was born in Defuniak Springs, lived most of his life in Jackson County where he graduated from high school and attended Chipola College. Dan worked for Fuller Brush Company for a number of years. He was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Marianna for more than 50 years where he attended the Dean Skaggs Sunday School Class. Preceded in death by his father, Francis Asbury Budd in 1999. Survivors include his mother, Julia L. Budd of Marianna; his sister, Mary Frances and husband, Robert of Greenwood; uncle, Rev. James A. Budd of Alpharetta, GA.; a niece, Dr. Mary Sue Martin, a nephew, Robert Ray Martin, Jr.; extended family, Robert Mc Reynolds and Billy Sherrell. Graveside funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 at Greenwood Methodist Cemetery with Dr. Bob McKibben and Rev. James A. Budd officiating.
