Terry L. Gaspard, 57, of Marianna, FL. passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at
Calhoun Liberty Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Louisiana, he was born in Marksville, Louisiana on October 14, 1958. He moved to Marianna, FL in the year 2000 and grew to love this area.
Terry loved the outdoors, when he was not doing masonry work; he was either hunting or fishing. He could also be found playing his guitar and singing. He took every opportunity to participate in karaoke. Music was a huge part of his life. Some of his fondest memories included him and his family playing in a band together. He also loved to share his Cajun roots by often cooking some of his favorite recipes from his days in Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter J. Gaspard, Sr. and Janie Laprairie Gaspard; grandparents, Camille and Hattie Gaspard, Sr. and Joe and Ella Laprairie; a brother, Clyde Gaspard and a special extended family member, Jarid Kutchey.
Terry is survived by his extended family, of 16 years, Mary L. Dykes and her children, Wesley Kutchey and wife, Melynda; Catrinia Willis and husband, John; one brother, Joe Gaspard and wife, Stacey of Pilot Point, TX; sister-in-law, Brenda Williams Gaspard. A host of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his two loyal dogs, Pugsly and Mug.
Graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 in Dykes Cemetery, Grand Ridge with Wes Wicker officiating. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel will direct.
