Terry J. Galloway

Terry J. Galloway, 71, of Marianna died Sunday Dec. 14, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. A native of Geneva County, Al. he served in The U S Navy. Terry has lived most of his life in Jackson County where was a retired Deputy Chief of the Marianna Fire Department serving more than 31 years. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Terry loved to fish, drink coffee most every morning with his friends at Gary Jackson's BP Station. He loved his family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Ealy Galloway, Jr. and Mattie Sue Galloway; his brother, Michael Douglas, his sister, Virginia Sue Galloway. Survivors include his wife, Betty Broome Galloway; sister in law, Blinda Thompson and husband, Don of Dothan; brothers in law, Ken Broome and wife, Lynn, of Panama City; Jerry Broome and wife, Glenda, of Oglethorpe, GA.; one aunt, Lucille Harrison of Marianna; several nieces, nephews, cousins; extended family, Ruth Lee and Ray Weidner; Lurleen Alday, god-child, Whitney Basford and all the children he helped raise. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel with Revs. John Broome and Roland Rabon officiating. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Fireman's honors given by The City of Marianna Fire Department. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel will be directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
