Stella L. Jeter

Stella L. Jeter, 82 of Grand Ridge died Sunday, June 3, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Jeter was a native and life long resident of Jackson County. She was preceded in death by husband, Clarence W. Jeter; two daughters, Gail & Frances Jeter; brothers, Roy & Gordon Conrad. Survivors include, her son Eddie R. Cook of Sneads; two sisters, Beatrice Wilson of Dellwood and Pauline Mercer of Columbus, Ga. three grandchildren, Richard Cook and wife Pam, Edward Cook and wife Jessi, Edith Swinney and husband Mike; five great grandchildren, Ryan, Christopher, Kevin, Brandon Swinney and Lorelei Cook. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Maddox Chapel with Jack Howell officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Baptist Cemetery, near Dellwood with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
