Shirley Gable Walden

Shirley Gable Walden, 69, died Wednesday January 21, 2009 at her residence in Sneads. She was a native and lifelong resident of Sneads, retired after 30 of service with Florida State Hospital as a RN. She is a member of Sneads Assembly of God Church. Survivors include her husband, George Walden of Sneads; five daughters, Betty Palmiotto and husband, Paul of Tallahassee; Paula Ward of Bainbridge; Dorothy Purcell and husband, David of Oldsmar; Janice Herndon and husband, Billy , Brenda Maries and husband, David all of Odessa; two step daughters, Barbara Smith and husband, Randy of Quincy; Debra Turner of Sneads; one step-son, George L. Walden and wife, Jodi of Sneads; one sister, Zelma Hudson of Sneads; 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2009 at Maddox Chapel with Revs. Jack Howell and Bill Mayo officiating. Burial will follow at Dykes Cemetery near Sneads.
