Shirley Evans Lipford

Shirley Evans Lipford, a native of Chattahoochee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Jackson Hospital. Shirley was born on November 4, 1946. She graduated from Chattahoochee High School in 1964 and attended Lively Tech. She spent most of her working career as a medical transcriber. She was a member of Chattahoochee First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Joey Tillman, and her parents, James Sr. (Jimmy) and Earlene Evans. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kena Hartzog-Nelson (John) of Marianna; a brother, James Evans, Jr. of Chattahoochee; a nephew, James Evans III (Trey) of Lynn Haven, FL; and special friends, Sarah Dolan, Jan Johnson, and Barbara Peters. Private services will be held at a later date. James& Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
