Shirley F. Carmichael Furnier, 79, of Grand Ridge died Friday, December 6, 2019 in Jackson Hospital.
Born November 1, 1940 to the late William H. and Rena Mae Dean Carmichael in Houston County, AL. Mrs. Furnier resided most of her life in Jackson County. She was a retired employee of the Florida State Hospital and attended Cypress Community Church. She loved her friends, dogs and flowers.
Survivors include her two sons, Michael Dean Gruver, Sr. of Cypress, and his children, Michael Dean Gruver, Jr., Logan Gruver and their grandchildren, Gabriel and Arileigh Gruver; and son, David Earl Gruver and his wife, Tina of Grand Ridge and their children, Sherri Lynn McDonald and Connor Gruver, and grandchildren, Crimson File and Tayla File; and sister, Billie Elliot and her children, Melissa and Cristy.
Graveside funeral services will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery in Graceville with Reverend Karon Harns officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at 1 PM Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
The funeral cortege will leave James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel at 1:30 PM for the graveside services.
