Shirley "Ann" Smith Daniel, 81, of Tallahassee, FL, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee, FL.
Shirley was known for her amazing talent of playing the piano. Over the past 63 years, she has played for some of Leon County's local pastors and churches. She worked alongside her husband, John Daniel, in their family business, Daniel Cabinet Company, until they both retired. Many have known her as Sister Shirley, but her family and friends knew her simply as Mama Shirley.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Smith and one sister, Ola "Belle" Smith York.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Thomas Daniel; two daughters, Brenda Ferrell and Wanda Brown; one son, John Mark Daniel; one brother, Herald Dean Smith of North Carolina; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 3 p.m. (EST) Friday, March 30, 2018 at White Church Cemetery in Woodville, FL with Pastor Charles Coleman officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
