Shirlene Barrentine, 68, of Marianna, FL died Friday, May 15, 2020 at Jackson Hospital.
Shirlene was born in Marianna, Florida on November 9, 1951 and married her high school sweetheart, Marshall in 1969. Since 1970, she worked in the restaurant industry until retiring in 2013. Shirlene never met a stranger and was always there to help anyone in need. Her family and friends will dearly miss her.
She was preceded in death be her parents, J.C. “Buck” and Emily Hill and brother-in-Law, Marion Floyd.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Marshall Barrentine; two sons, Michael Barrentine (Stephanie) and Jamie Barrentine all of Marianna, Fl; sister, Gwen Floyd Folsom (Ken) of Marianna, Fl; brother, Charles Hill (Linda) of Tallahassee,Fl; grandchildren, Brooke Burkhalter (Brad) Newville, Al, Tori Barrentine Joyner of Grand Ridge, Fl, Colin Barrentine of Sneads, Fl, Grayson Barrentine of Marianna, Fl; great grandchildren, Corbin Joyner, Asher McConchie,
Tucker Burkhalter; and a host of nephews and nieces that she loved as her own.
A private funeral service will be conducted at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Interment will be in Sims Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
