James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Sherry Kaye Smith, 71, of Greenwood, died Sunday, September 1, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Columbus OH on August 11, 1942 to John and Virginia O'Donnell. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and has lived in Jackson County for the past 33 years. Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, John and Virgina Murphy O'Donnell; son, James Clement Smith IV. Survivors include her husband, Jim Smith; son, John Scott Smith, and three grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2013, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Marianna with Amy Baxter and Van Willis officiating, interment to follow in Sink Creek Cemetery with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
