Samuel Ruben Mitchell

Samuel R. Mitchell, 79, of Blountstown died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Blountstown Health and Rehabilitation in Blountstown. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Mitchell was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Emma Byrd Mitchell. Survivors include two sisters, Allie B. Hatcher of Ozark and Jimmie M. Smith and husband Berry of Bainbridge, Ga.; several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will conducted at 2 pm Friday, February 22, 2008 at Carpenter Cemetery in Grand Ridge with Rev. Jerry Mears officiating with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1:30 pm at Maddox Chapel."
