Rufus R. Medlock

Rufus"Rudy" R. Medlock, 77 passed away at his home in Apex, NC on Friday, February 16th following an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Sara R. Jackson Medlock; his son, William R. "Randy" and wife Janet of Orlando, Fl and his daughters, Karen & husband David Gadwah, of Apex, NC and Janet and husband Rev. James Kelly of Wendell, NC. He will be missed by eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur and Lucy A. Medlock, and his brothers William Coy and Lloyd C. Medlock. Rudy spent 26 years in the US Military as a talented musician with his last tour of duty being Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH. Upon retirement he moved to Orlando, Fl where he became a certified printing press operator for the Orange County Board of Education. Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Maddox Chapel with Rev. Jim Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with full military honors with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive visitors 7-8 PM, Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007. at Maddox Chapel.
