Mrs. Syfrett was a native of Yellow Pine, Alabama. She lived most of her life in Jackson County where she taught school at Alford School in the 1940's. After raising her children, she returned to Alford School and worked in food service and retired in the late 1970's. Mrs. Syfrett was a member of Alford United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Gene Syfrett and wife, Wanda of Chipley, Fred Syfrett of Alford; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 24th at Alford United Methodist Church with Revs. Dalton Ott and Wesley Syfrett officiating. Burial will follow in Alford City Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
