Ruby Lee Pitts, 79, of Kynesville, Florida died Monday, October 23, 2023, at her residence.
She was born to Andy and Louise Wester Wilder on July 3, 1944. Ruby graduated from Leon High School in Tallahassee, FL, and later married Joseph L. Pitts in June of 1962. She retired from the Jackson County School Board where she worked in the accounting department.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tommy Wilder, and sister, Bobbie Mayo.
Ruby is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Pitts; two sons, Joseph M. Pitts, and wife, Cheryl, Michael L. Pitts; grandchildren, Joseph Taylor Pitts, Hunter Cole Pitts, Addison Brie Pitts, and Charlotte Reese Pitts.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Friday, Oct 27, 2023 at Damascus Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. There will be a private family burial in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service, Friday October 27, 2023.
