Roy Hearon Robinson

Roy Hearon Robinson, 78, of Grand Ridge died Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Donaldsonville Hospital. A native of Mississippi, Mr. Robinson had resided in Jackson County since 1953, he was a member of Cypress Grove Assembly of God Church, retired as a Ward Supervisor from Florida State Hospital and was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Suby Robinson. Survivors include two sons, Mike Robinson and wife Sherry of Grand Ridge, Gerald Fender of Sneads; five grandchildren, Page Mathis, Holly Hall, Chastity Brown,Alexander Robinson and Chris Fender; seven great grandchildren, Amanda Carter, Alyssa Mathis, Caleb Mathis, Jaylene Hall, Tyler, Andrew and Kristen Fender. Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Cypress Grove Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jack Howell officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday. October 13, 2008 at Maddox Chapel.
