Rosetta Lewis

Rosetta Lewis, 64, of Marianna died Thursday August 23, 2007 at Jackson Hospital. Mrs. Lewis was born in Bay County, was a former resident of Alford and had resided in Marianna for the past several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Brown; her parents, William Buford and Lonzell Johnson Brown. Rosetta spent a lengthy time at Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center after suffering a sever stroke. A heart felt thanks to her sister- in- law, Barbara Brown for her love, kindness and consideration she gave Rosetta. The family also offers gratitude to beloved brother Clibbert Brown for his perseverance, always being there for her. Mrs. Lewis is survived by two daughters; three brothers, William Earl Brown and wife DeAnn of Spanaway, Washington, Clibbert Brown and wife Barbara of Alford, Danny (Brown) Davis and wife Betty of Panama City; one sister, Lindereen Leach and husband Wayne of Lake Merial; two half-brothers, Winford Brown of Jackson County, Balford Brown of Wedowee, Al; one half-sister, Rosalee Evans of Jackson County and their Mother, Pearl Brown of Alford; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 pm Sunday, August 26, 2007 at Maddox Chapel with Rev. Charles Griffin officiating, burial will follow at Alford City Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Maddox Chapel."
