Rosa J. Gonzlez, 88, of Marianna, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Jackson Hospital.
A native of Puerto Rico, Mrs. Gonzlez had resided in Jackson County for the past 15 years. She was a parishioner of St. Anne's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Gonzlez was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ruiz, Sr. and her son, Raymond Ruiz, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Cruz and her son-in-law Raphael, her granddaughter Rose Mary Crews and her grandson-in-law, Michael, and her great grandson William all of Marianna. She is also survived by three siblings, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who reside in New Jersey.
Funeral Mass will be recited at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at St. Anne's Catholic Church with Father George Sammut reciting. Interment will follow in Sunny Hills Cemetery with James Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until funeral time at St. Anne's Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Gonzalez's name.
