Roberta (Robbie) Bryan Price died May 10, 2014 at River Landing, Colfax, North Carolina after a long illness. She was born on born July 17, 1927 in Jacksonville, Florida to George W. and Lucille Bryan. Robbie earned degrees from Carson Newman University in piano performance and early childhood education from Florida State University. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa sorority for women educators. Next to her faith and family life, teaching young children to read and instilling a passion for learning was one of the great joys of her life. Her teaching career of more than 30 years in Greensboro included kindergarten classes at Lawndale Baptist, First Presbyterian and Friendly Road Baptist churches, and multiple elementary schools throughout the Greensboro Public School system. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Howard Hoyt Price, Colfax; daughter, Paula Farr of Raleigh; daughter, Joan Keele (Bernie) of Blowing Rock; and grandsons, Bryan Farr and Clayton Farr of Raleigh. A memorial service was held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at River Landing. A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Greenwood First Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenwood, Florida.
