Robert Earl Whittington

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Robert E. Whittington, 82, of Sneads died Friday, September 13, 2013 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Mr. Robert was a native and lifelong resident of Sneads, where he farmed most of his life. He enjoyed and loved hunting and fishing. He retired from Florida State Hospital as a telecommunications engineer. Mr. Robert was a member of The Sneads Assembly of God Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Wilma L. Whittington; one grandson, Bo McClamma; one granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Messer; his mother, Cleo Hunter; and his brother, Harold Whittington. Survivors include one daughter, Jan McClamma and husband, Wade "Bo"; two sons, Ricky Kim Whittington and wife, Sue all of Sneads, Michael Ervin Whittington of Cypress; Ten grandchildren, Eleven great-grandchildren; very close special friend, Debbie Goodwin. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. (CST) Monday, September 16, 2013 at Sneads Assembly of God Church with Revs. Juno Douglas, Jack Howell and Johnny Fontenot officiating. Burial will follow in Pope Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel of Marianna directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, September 15, at Sneads Assembly of God Church.
